Whale Capsizes Boat Off Seaside Shore

A whale breached the surface of the water and landed on a fishing boat a few dozen yards offshore Monday in Seaside Park, witnesses said.

Two people aboard were OK after the impact threw them into the water, they said.

The whale kept swimming and appeared fine, as well, said witnesses who helped collect the pair’s belongings.

Authorities were figuring out how to remove the the 25-foot fishing vessel, which landed upright on the beach, according to a Friends of Seaside Park Facebook post.
